Kinsmen Club of New Glasgow hosting Pictou County Ribfest in 2025
The Kinsmen Club of New Glasgow will be hosting the 2025 Pictou County Ribfest on August 8, 9, and 10, 2025 at the Pictou County Wellness Centre. This will allow for a larger area, increased parking as well as indoor climate controlled seating for those who find it too hot , or should we have unfavorable weather. The Wellness Center is also on the bus route for those who would require a ride to get there.

The Kin Family of New Glasgow spent over $23,000 bringing gifts and a grocery order to 87 people (selected by Social Services) throughout Pictou County.

New Glasgow Kinsmen Chicken BBQ Returns
After a Covid related hiatus, the New Glasgow Chicken BBQ returned in 2022. We sold 1200 chicken dinners on our newly acquired gigantic propane fired barbecues and made profit of over $5000.

Kinsmen build playhouse for Make a Wish Foundation
Over ten Kinsmen volunteered over a 3 day period to construct a playhouse as part of a “Make a Wish Foundation” project to aid a local family.

Kinsmen Adventure Moose Hunting Trip Winner
The first annual Moose Hunting Adventure draw winner, Daniel MacPhee and his son, from Hammonds Plains are shown with Project Chair Terry Cornett and other Kinsmen members including: Scott McKenzie, Aaron Rose and Tony Hessian. This project netted over $40,000.
In January 2023 this was followed-up by our second Adventure draw featuring an all expense paid Salmon Fishing Trip to NFLD to be drawn April 15, 2023.
